Casual General Catering Assistant, Callcredit Information Group, Café One

Main Purpose of Role 

• To assist in the preparation of the provision of catering services at Café One
• To provide excellent customer care, to all staff and clients at One Park Lane
• To maintain our high standards of food hygiene and cleanliness

Key Tasks & Accountabilities 

• Checking and storage of all fresh deliveries daily
• Washing up and general daily/weekly cleaning duties and completion of some basic hygiene record keeping.
• Basic food preparation
• Serving customers at busy breakfast and lunch times and afternoon tea
• Use of till and handling cash
• Preparation and service of hot drinks
• Some hospitality duties
• Trolley service to the office floors
  

Performance Indicators 

• Customer satisfaction
• Quick efficient and friendly
• Effective team work = productive team and good team morale
• Food hygiene is kept to a high standard and maintained.
• Efficient preparation, avoiding waste therefore maintaining budgets

Role Requirements:
 
Skills 
Essential:

• Customer Service Skills/,demonstration of good social skills
• Basic food preparation
• Use of the till
• Operating of the coffee machine
• Friendly and approachable

Preferred:

• Knowledge of Barista skills(coffee machine)

Knowledge 
Essential:

• Be able to work within a team or work alone.
• To be flexible-switch tasks as priorities change
   
  

Academic & Professional Qualifications 
Essential:

• Basic food hygiene certificate

Preferred:

• NVQ Customer service
