Marketing Analyst, Callcredit Information Group, Analysis and Consultancy

KEY RELATIONSHIPS
The successful candidate will work with a variety of clients across the business and will therefore work closely with members of the new business and client services teams.
MAIN PURPOSE OF ROLE
To provide analytical input/lead on client projects. The successful candidate will deliver a variety of insight and customer engagement projects including audits, data evaluations, campaign analysis, profiling, segmentation and targeting models.
The role will require the successful candidate to meet with clients to discuss their requirements and deliver the solutions developed.
In addition the candidate will be required to assist in a sales support role on occasion.
KEY TASKS & ACCOUNTABILITIES
The successful candidate can expect to lead the following types of activities:-
- Loading client data into SAS, converting and pre-processing the data ready for analysis.
- Producing maps & profile reports using MicroVision & Discoverer
- Exploratory data analysis using a variety of statistical techniques
- Developing scoring and segmentation models using SAS & KnowledgeStudio
- Presenting data in tabular, chart & graph form using Excel/PowerPoint.
- Interpreting data making recommendations and explaining the results to internal & external clients.
The type of projects delivered by the team include:-
- Response analysis, targeting model development, campaign evaluation
- CHAID/Regression analysis, profiling, segmentation & mapping.
- Development of predictive models for cross-sell propensity, customer value & churn
- Building customer & market segmentation models using cluster analysis
PERFORMANCE INDICATORS
- The role will be measured based upon:
- Delivering to client requirements
- Delivering to time and within budget
- The quality of the work undertaken
- The satisfaction of the client
- The number of billable days associated with the work undertaken by the analyst
ROLE REQUIREMENTS:
SKILLS
Essential:
- Programming in SAS
- Knowledge of Statistics in particular CHAID, Regression and Clustering
- Up to 3 years experience in a marketing analysis environment
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office tools
- Excellent written communication skills, eg report writing
- Must be able to demonstrate a methodical/structured approach to analysis/insight generation
Preferred:
- Expert in use of Excel, in particular the advanced use of Excel for dynamic report generation, etc.
- Knowledge of Clementine and Knowledge Studio
- Imaginative and innovative but practical approach to problem solving, with an eye for detail.
- Fluent in presenting to clients

ACADEMIC & PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
Essential:
- Degree educated in a Mathematical / Statistics or quantitative Discipline
Preferred:
- Member of a relevant industry body, eg The IDM
