Marketing Executive, Callcredit Information Group, Group Marketing

REPORTS TO: Head of Marketing

KEY RELATIONSHIPS:

  • Key stakeholders in CIG including: Leadership Team, Sales, Account Management, Sales Support, Communications, Marketing Consultancy & Product Teams, International and Industry Relations
  • Responsibility and accountability for Design, Web & SEO Agency performance
  • Management of all external suppliers and marketing support services

MAIN PURPOSE OF ROLE:

To develop an intimate understanding of the business and the products and services offered to our target markets and identify how marketing can be used effectively to support both customer recruitment, retention, cross-sell and upsell. To cost effectively develop and execute marketing campaigns across all channels including web, email, direct mail, events and exhibitions with a particular focus on key vertical markets.

KEY TASKS & ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Development and implementation of corporate and product branding throughout the business, including stationary, corporate templates and product packaging.
  • Ensure the effective targeting of all campaigns through understanding of the market and channels – co-ordinate with colleagues in Communications
  • Utilise and enhance the contact data maintained within the CRM/Marketing database
  • Copy-writing and creative development all sales/marketing collateral including corporate and product brochures, product sheets, standard sales presentations and exhibition panels.
  • Development, maintenance and optimisation of the corporate and selected product websites using natural SEO and PPC.
  • Planning and implementation of sales and customer events including UK and overseas exhibitions, seminars and conferences, hospitality events and corporate sponsorships.
  • Management of advertising plans, media buying and development of advertising campaigns.
  • Planning and fulfilment of direct mail and digital campaigns.
  • Production of case studies, testimonials and award entries.
  • Management of University Awards aimed at promoting our business through academia.
  • Technical authoring and creation of User and Supporting Literature, including User Guides, On-line Help Files, File Structures, Data Dictionaries and Software Specifications.
  • Management of suppliers, ensuring that value for money and effectiveness are optimised
  • Network effectively across CIG and where appropriate clients and prospects to ensure awareness on all key initiatives that could benefit from effective marketing
  • Effective cost management and adherence to marketing budget
  • Develop KPIs to demonstrate ROI from CIG investment in marketing

PERFORMANCE INDICATORS:

  • Quality of marketing materials produced
  • Sales lead and response rate growth as a result of specific activities
  • Digital measures including: website traffic growth, reduction in bounce rates, increase in page views and visitor length
  • Database quality measures including reduced bounce rates
  • Cost management
  • Building and maintaining trust both internally and externally measured by feedback (positive and negative)

ROLE REQUIREMENTS:

SKILLS 

Essential:

  • Marketing experience in a B2B environment
  • Creative
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Strong enthusiastic communicator
  • Good negotiation skills
  • Good organisational and multi-tasking qualities
  • Ability to manage upwards
  • On-line savvy
  • Team player

Preferred:

  • Broad understanding/experience of marketing
  • Technical and sales writing skills

KNOWLEDGE 

Essential:

  • Awareness of the Credit and Marketing Solutions markets
  • Marketing practises through all channels

Preferred:

  • Knowledge of the Credit and Marketing Solutions markets
  • Understanding of the Web, SEO and email practices

ACADEMIC & PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS 

Essential:

  • Degree educated
  • Excellent use of language: written and verbal

Preferred:

  • Relevant professional qualification /training

POTENTIAL CAREER PROGRESSION:

The option would exist to grow the breadth of the role as the Group grows in the future or branch out into other areas of communications or marketing management.
